oh my, I love this, and, hate this, because I adore notebooks. Through an urgent need for a notebook while traveling 5 or 6 years ago, I found Apica notebooks in an art store - a Japanese brand which I've since filled up six - really nice paper, slim, spiral bound which I enjoy so I can write with it folded. But, they don't seem to be making them anymore so I've had to search to replace them. Then I was gifted three moleskins (7.25x9.75) which I feel obligated to use before buying any new notebooks. I'm almost through the first one, but now you've given me all of these options that I want to try! So, thank you, with just a little bit of regret!

I too have a bunch of much nicer journals and notebooks I have yet to touch because I fear anything I use them for will be a disappointment to their beauty. But I also have a bunch of composition notebooks from Office Depot that I use for collecting book quotes and commentary and the occasional doodle. It's been fun going back over them at times to see what about the story made an impression, especially since I've generally done this during first reads. Their cheap and simple and I don't mind adding my aesthetic to theirs. I've also got one dotted Moleskine that I use to keep track of the many projects on Kickstarter I have donated to over the years since most were book related and there were always lots of extra goodies to claim. I take care to keep this one well cared for.

The composition notebooks are a good idea for that sort of use!
